My name is Deborah Callahan and I am an artist living and working in Wauwatosa, WI.  I have a small studio in West Allis with two partners. Over the years I have taken many art classes and workshops. I have studied with James Hempel, Fred Bell, Joye Moon, Christy Kutch, Pamela Scesniak, and Julie Twomey.

In December 2011, one of my paintings (“Mother and Child”) was chosen to appear on the front page of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as their 4th annual "gift of art" presentation.

Child's Dancer #22 was awarded "Best In Show" in the Wisconsin Pastel Artists "Unintended Consequences" show at the Art*Bar Riverwest in April 2018.

“Charlotte” received Honorable Mention in the “Go Figure” Exhibit at Gallery 110 in the Plymouth Arts Center, Plymouth, WI, in 2008.

“Déjà View” won Honorable Mention in the spring 2011 show at the Schauer Center in Hartford, WI.

“Girl With Pink Parasol” was awarded Second Place in the “Déjà vu Redux” Exhibit at One Way Cafe in Wauwatosa, WI, August, 2011.

I received an Honorable Mention in the fall 2012 League of Milwaukee Artists Exhibit at the Anaba Tea Room.

Three of my pieces have received Meritorious mentions in Richeson Exibit Catalogues.

I represent myself at my gallery,
The Martini Girls Studio, in West Allis. I am very fond of drawing the human figure and most of my work is portrait or figurative. I will continue to work and produce art from my studio in West Allis and to participate in various exhibits in the Milwaukee area.
